Sharp Auto Parts LLC is a subsidiary of Bay Auto Parts Inc.
LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Bay Auto Parts and subsidiary company (Seller) warrants against mechanical product failure of the used motor vehicle
part due to defects in the part that occur after the Invoice Date of this limited warranty and during the Warranty Period
stated on the invoice. This warranty is subject to the exclusions, limitations and conditions set forth below. If the Purchaser
complies with the terms of this limited warranty, Seller will replace, repair, or refund the purchase price of the defective
part. If “Labor” is purchased and indicated on the invoice, Seller will cover the cost of the labor to remove and install a
replacement part up to the maximum coverage indicated on the invoice or up to the price of the part if no maximum is
indicated.
WARRANTY TERMS:
1) The seller reserves the right to repair, replace, or refund the warranted part at their option.
2) The Purchaser must cooperate with the Seller’s designated 3rd party Warranty Claims and Technical support team or
the warranty will be void.
3) Replacements, repairs, or price adjustments do not extend your limited warranty.
4) Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, the warranty expires 90 days after the date of purchase. Requests for
warranty coverage must be made prior to the expiration of the warranty. Claims made after this period will not be
covered under warranty.
5) Any repairs or work performed must be authorized before work is started. Any repair, that is initiated without
authorization will void the warranty.
6) New fluids, filters, seals, and gaskets must be used during the installation of the part. Engine oil and transmission
fluid must be the type recommended by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
7) Engine assemblies are understood to consist of a short block assembly and cylinder head(s). Any other parts left on
the engine assembly at the time of sale are included for convenience only. These parts are not covered under the
warranty.
8) Engine warranties are limited to defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers and oil pumps.
Purchaser will be charged only for the block, heads, valvetrain and rotating assembly. All other parts, including
switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps and manifolds, that may be provided are
considered accessories and are not covered by this limited warranty. The head gasket is the only gasket covered
under this warranty.
9) Timing belts, water pumps, thermostats, spark plugs, oil filters and oil, fluids, gaskets and seals are routine
maintenance items. They should be inspected and, when necessary, replaced at the time of installation and at the
vehicle manufacturer’s recommended service intervals. This includes, but is not limited to, intake, oil pan and valve
cover gaskets. Fluid leaks are not covered under this warranty.
10) Proper operation of the cooling, electrical and fuel systems must be checked during the installation of products that
can be affected by those systems.
11) It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to completely drain and replace fluids, lubricants, antifreeze and filters necessary
for the effective operation of the warranted part with replacements that are fresh, clean and approved by the
vehicle manufacturer. Purchaser is also responsible for any manufacturer-required additives.
12) Transmission Warranty Specific Requirements. It is the installer’s responsibility to replace the radiator or
transmission oil cooler, flush the transmission oil cooling lines, fill differential, adjust shifter mechanisms, replace
filters, replace seals, replace pan gaskets and reset or replace computer codes when installing a transmission
13) Seller reserves the right to have the part inspected to insure that all pertinent provisions of this warranty have been
met prior to any replacement, repair, or refund.
14) Seller will make the final diagnosis as to the cause of the warranted part's failure, no other party's opinion shall
override Seller's decision, and this decision will determine the validity of your limited warranty claim.
15) Seller is not responsible for additional warranty coverage if parts are deemed defective upon original install.
16) Seller is not responsible for proper diagnosis of original need to repair purchaser's vehicle. It is the responsibility of
the purchaser to have their problem properly diagnosed before part purchase.
17) The installer must follow all recommended installation procedures provided by the Seller. This includes, but not
limited to instructions or procedures on tags, invoices, stickers and separate checklists.
2) The Purchaser must cooperate with the Seller’s designated 3rd party Warranty Claims and Technical support team or
the warranty will be void.
3) Replacements, repairs, or price adjustments do not extend your limited warranty.
4) Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, the warranty expires 90 days after the date of purchase. Requests for

EXCLUSIONS.
This limited warranty will not cover the following.
1) The purchasers loss of time, loss of use of the vehicle, towing expense, installation expense, commercial loss, or
consequential damages.
2) Parts installed in vehicles used for commercial, racing, marine, or off-road purposes or parts used for other than
original application.
3) Damage or failure arising directly or indirectly from improper installation. Improper installation means installation
that is not in accordance with original equipment manufacturer’s specifications and all current service bulletins.
4) Damage or failure arising directly or indirectly from related vehicle problems, misuse, improper or insufficient
maintenance, neglect, abuse, overheating, vandalism, abnormal operation, environmental conditions or collision
with any other object.
5) Damage or failure caused by towing a trailer or other vehicle unless the vehicle is equipped for this purpose as
recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
6) The vehicle is modified or equipped during the warranty period to plow snow whether or not the snowplow is
attached to the vehicle.
7) Damage or failure caused by or related to a collision, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, lightning, earthquake,
windstorm, hail, water, freezing or flood.
8) Failures that are caused at least in part by continually operating the vehicle after a failure in the warranted part has
occurred.
9) Engines must have the original un-melted heat tab bonded to the block to be considered for warranty coverage.
10) Engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axle assemblies, and other mechanical parts will only be honored if the part is
marked and identified as Seller’s supplied part. (Stamp, etch, ink)
11) Freight costs or delivery fees necessary to supply a replacement part to you or to your installer.
12) Claims related to the overheating and/or improper lubrication of the part or its components.
